Through our extensive experience GSL is aware of the current challenges facing New Zealand Practices and Hospitals. These challenges include, the recruitment of Doctors, finding replacements for existing General practitioners leaving rural areas or smaller communities, and the needs of all Doctors, Hospitals and Practice Managers for a reliable source of Locum Cover both for sickness, and planned leave -vacations, educational, conferences,etc. .
GSL recruits staff locally and from the NZMC approved countries for Locum and Permanent placement within New Zealand Hospitals and Practices. We screen all replying applicants by analysing their Curriculum Vitae and references to produce two databases; the first of suitable Locums currently available within New Zealand; the second database is of the most capable and skilled overseas applicants, who wish to travel and to work within New Zealand. These databases of Doctors can be accessed quickly and easily by the team at GSL to identify suitable Doctors for any vacancy that arises. We can then provide each client with a list of suitable candidates for their information and subsequent consideration of the potential employee.
We recognise that the advertising for and screening of replying candidates is an expensive and time consuming exercise. Our aim is to reduce the stress and additional work normally produced by this process by maintaining a database of all candidate applicants.

A large volume of Locum positions allows us to "guarantee" applying Doctors work; therefore securing their Registration and loyalty with us, which in turn enables us to achieve greater efficiency.
